ACNE have spread design confidence and business acumen over the four floors of a Georgian house in the heart of Mayfair, London.
Conceived as a house more than a megastore, the space meets the promise and the moment you step in, you’re into a world where everything is balanced. Feels contemporary, but not cold. Feels intimate, but still works the purpose of being a shop. Also, the store design pays tribute to the building’s former role as an art gallery, displaying works by Helmut Lang, Jeremiah Goodman and Katerina Jebb.
The highlights? A piano for live music on weekends and a large-scale Helmut Lang sculpture.
Jhonny Johansson, Mikael Schiller and Thomas Persson prove – once again – their vision was right, other than giving us a new very good reason to regularly walk down to Dover Street.
This is a definite stop for those of you in London soon. Check out the security…
