Her pieces are renowned for their unusual cuts, use of volume and exaggerated silhouettes, whilst there’s also a notable sense of romance, nostalgia and the designer’s Portuguese heritage apparent in her playful and offbeat collections.
It wasn’t until she stumbled on an editorial showcasing the flowing, oil slick-esque draperies of Yohji Yamamoto that Alexandra Moura’s focus shifted.
