Conceptual artist Kasey McMahon has created a life-size self portrait made of steel, CAT5 and other data cables called ‘Connected’.
Kasey sees ‘Connected’ and other artworks out of her series “Global Brain” as a source of inspiration for the 2011 Los Angeles come-together of science, technology and art called ‘Re Evolution’.
Of her work, she says: ‘I’ve been exploring how interconnected we are becoming as technology is more entwined in our lives – both the positive and negative effects’.
