Damaged Goods by Barnaby Barford

Ceramic artist Barnaby Barford is breathing new life into the term ‘damaged goods’ this month, with a display at David Gill Galleries.

Using kitsch porcelain figures as his tools, Barford has recreated still tableaux from his ingenious film ‘Damaged Goods’, which tells the tragic love story of a down-at-heel young man’s attempt to rescue a beautiful girl trapped by a sinister old miser.

“I have taken these characters from conception through the journey of making the film and finally back into being static, stand alone characters”, says Barford.
