Dark Layers From Thamanyah Autumn Winter 2015

Dubai-born designer Ahmed Abdelrahman has unveiled the latest collection from his Thamanyah label.

Having worked under Rick Owens and Michèle Lamy, the newcomer branched out on his own in 2011, his first pieces driven by a desire to create a traditional Middle Eastern wardrobe to be worn in a contemporary context.

Clearly influenced by Owens, who in turn has been influenced by traditional Middle Eastern clothing, Thamanyah leads with unisex long-length layers in an all-black color palette. Elements of Italian tailoring are present in the range with exaggerated suits, flowing gowns, tunic tops with cropped sleeves and soft roll-necks.

Thamanyah is exclusive to 4.
