Every fashion maven was possibly excited about the upcoming Christie’s auction featuring the entire Isabella Blow’s wardrobe, including a stunning collection of 50 Philip Treacy hats and 90 Alexander McQueen dresses.

A somewhat sad affair too though given both Blow and her great friend McQueen so recently passed away.

Christie’s announced on Monday of this week that such event will no longer take place: the whole collection was bought by Daphne Guinness. “It’s Issy — it’s her DNA — it should not be scattered to the four winds,” says Ms. Guinness. “I want it to remain as a monument.”
