New Converse collaboration

Converse’s iconic Chuck Taylors (aka Converse All-Stars) may just be the most revivaled sneakers of all time. The low cost coupled with such a uniform high top structure made it an easy investment for any designer.

Now, in one of the most interesting collaborations to date, artist Terence Koh has revealed his minimalist rendition of the classic shoes.

At the release party for the shoes, Terence explained, “I wanted to keep the DNA of the Chuck Taylor intact, while reducing the seams, and smoothing out the shoe’s surfaces as much as possible”.

The added bonus is that the pair’s a part of the 1HUND(RED) campaign, so a percentage of sales of these shoes go to fighting AIDS in Africa.
