In collaboration with the Norwegian Opera and Ballet, Henrik Vibskov’s Spring Summer 2015 show at the Paper Island in Copenhagen again highlighted the designer’s unique and playful vision of contemporary fashion.
A 150 m2 shallow pool was constructed and filled with 4000 litres of water, inside which 10 dancers wearing neoprene socks, pinned-in-place skullcaps, and white lab coats with “Team VBS” on the back, performed a routine devised by renowned Swedish choreographer Alexander Ekman.
The collection itself drew inspiration from cement mixtures and construction sites, “stirred up by visions of rotating cement mixers, construction sites, bricks, swimming pools and water sports,” explained Vibskov. Brick motifs featured heavily on garments such as over-sized jerseys, skirts and knee-length shorts. The styles were typically androgynous and included both flowing skirts and boxy constructed jackets.
Henrik Vibskov is exclusive to 4.
