This Month’s 4WRD is the Happy Birthday Dear Acedmie Exhibition in Antwerp, Belgium. The Exhibit celebrates the 350th anniversary of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts and the 50th anniversary of its storied fashion department.

The school is the alma mater of the famous “Antwerp Six” designers which included Ann Demeulemeester and Dries van Noten, who helped establish Antwerp as a notable location for fashion design with their breakthrough show at London Fashion Week in 1986.

Antwerp’s fashion museum, has put together an ambitious exhibition that examines the entire history of the Royal Academy’s fashion department and runs from 8th September – 16th February 2014.
