Carving Out A New Retail Look For Building Fashion Event, NY
Fashion and architecture have been combined for menswear designer Richard Chai’s new retail installation in a shipping container underneath the High Line in Manhattan.
The designer worked with Snarkitecture to create a pop-up store as part of the city’s Building Fashion event.
The store’s expressive cavernous structure was created from a dense white foam material, forming an interior similar to a glacier. When the store closes, the interior will be recycled as foam insulation.
