Dishoom Bombay Café In Covent Garden, London

Back in late 19th and early 20th century, Bombay – now known as Mumbai – was awash with ‘Bombay cafés’.
Opened by immigrants from Persia, the cafés were an essential part of urban living, and carried off a fabulous style of faded elegance.

Fast forward a hundred years or so, and Covent Garden in London now has its very own Bombay Café, in the shape of Upper St. Martin’s Lane’s Dishoom. A splendidly authentic space with seriously good food and some very special cocktails.

Whether or not you even know what a Bombay café is, if you’re looking for a seriously original dining option in central London, you could do a lot worse than the Dishoom.
