Ernesto Neto and ‘The New Décor’ At The Hayward Gallery

The Hayward Gallery presents ‘The New Décor’; an international survey of over 30 contemporary artists, including some of the leading sculptors of our time, who explore interior design as a means of engaging with changes in contemporary culture.

By reconfiguring and reinventing the familiar objects of our domestic life, these artists look beyond design and function to create provocative sculptures and installations.

Parallel to the New Decor, Brazilian artist Ernesto Neto has created a series of site specific installations in and around the Hayward Gallery, called ‘The Edges of the World’.

The exhibitions will run at the Hayward Gallery at the Southbank Centre in London until September 5th, 2010.
