Exploring The Darker Side of Fashion
Love and Loss: Fashion and Mortality at the Lentos Kunstmuseum, Linz, Austria focuses on the development of new aesthetic approaches that formed in the 1980’s with designers like Alexander McQueen, Martin Margiela, Yohji Yamamototo and Carol Christian Poell.
The exhibition connects the rise of post-punk, deconstructivism and a darker conceptualism more accustomed to the literary and art world.
The show also includes works by Walter Van Beirendonck, Bless, Iris van Herpen and Jean Paul Gaultier with a total of 160 works on display.
Love and Loss: Fashion and Mortality from March 13th – June 7th, 2015, at The Lentos Kunstmuseum, Linz, Austria.
