Thanks to the generous donations of Hugh Hefner, Los Angelas based celebrities and corporate financiers a mere few days before its planned demolition, the infamous ‘Hollywood’ sign is still standing (just).

And now that the sign is staying put, Danish architecture firm Bay Arch has proposed a transformation of the sign into an ultra-modern hotel.

Their design would feature 308 rooms across 10 floors, 3 swimming pools and an observation deck – all hidden behind the letters (which would be enlarged to double their size).
