The Land Of Giants is a project by Choi + Shine for an Icelandic electricity company. The architecture firm designed the electrical pylons in giant statues that stand in the sky as monuments, 150 foot tall.

About these human pylons, Choi + Shine say “they will represent something more than merely a functional design of necessity.”

Unfortunately, the project has not been universally well received: according to Icelandic conservatives, they spoil one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world.
