Earlier this month, the preview of the Transmission1 exhibition and event has taken place. It is curated by none other than fashion designer Raf Simons.

The showcase, which currently takes place at the BCC in Berlin, acts as the launch event for the new digital interview magazine by Mercedes Benz, entitled ‘The Avant/Garde Diaries’. The online magazine, which just launched days ago, features individuals that think out of the box, as well as innovations and extraordinary ideas.

Tranmission1 is essentially a three day festival, where artists and trendsetters present their take on today’s and tomorrow’s world. All artists were handpicked by Raf Simons. The line-up includes Peter Saville, the British art director. Konstantin Grcic, the industrial designer, created an installation made of chairs, entitled ‘360′.

Choreographer and dancer Michael Clark will be performing tonight to David Bowie music. Furthermore a one hour life set will be played by These New Puritans.
